Death Note on Nintendo DS

Yes, I'm one of those creepy Death Note fanboys who carries his notebook around wherever he goes for no other reason than it looks cool. It's even made it's way to a grave site which is a long and more than likely offensive story. Cosplay? Why, of course. I took the liberty to upload a shot of Shelby and I looking cute together in Death Note style.

It's hard to take away a lot from the scan for the Nintendo DS Death Note game, but if I had to take a stab at it's gameplay, I'd say that it looks to be similar in style to the Japanese only title, Kaitou Rousseau by Namco. Kaitou Rousseau is a very touch-screen heavy detective adventure with a light emphasis on puzzle solving. The draw of which (no pun intended) is to create disguises utilizing the stylus in order for him to blend in to any situation. Not that you'll be drawing mustaches on Light's face, but I'm not expecting a lot of action out of this.

I could be completely off base with this assumption, but judging from the art involved it appears that this may take place during the "innocent" phase in the life of Light Yagami as Kira. If so, that could lead to some very interesting gameplay as you have to work towards capturing Kira and not capturing Kira.

Regardless, I plan on being all over this.
